No spark!!
My 2003 polaris 600 just quit on me while plowing snow. Put new plugs in it, checked for spark and only getting spark on initial revolution and then nothing, sometimes no spark at all. Assuming cdi is bad or maybe bad plugs. Any ideas?. Thanks.....
Stopped at a local Polaris dealer to get advice from a tech and he told me that it is common for this to occur on this era of sportsman and said you can not just replace the CDI, that you have to buy a kit that consist of the following: Stator, Fly-Wheel, CDI, Computer, etc... Price is about $550.00 plus 3 hours labor. Tech said that polaris discontinued CDI for this year and that he sells about 6-7 of these kits a year.
Has anyone else heard this same thing? Going to check with a couple other dealers and see what they say....
