2000 Xplorer 250 4x4 starting issues
I have a 2000 Polaris Xplorer 250 4x4 and it has electric start. When its cold out the electric start takes a really long time to get it going. you will be sitting there for five or ten minutes cranking it over to get it going. What could cause this problem?

Make sure choke is on. Give it a little gas when cranking. These machines have trouble
Starting in cold.

Yea choke is on. It seems to start easier with a battery charger hooked up to the battery.. May more CCA than 220? or new battery? PO said he out a new battery in it. kinda looks new.
And it doesnt help that i broke the pull string for the the pull start

If the engine is cranking slower
When no battery charger is hooked up then I'd say replace battery. But if it's turning over with the same power then that shouldn't affect it..

check battery voltage With multimeter between the terminals. Then push and hold start button while
Checking voltage( may need two ppl). Voltage shouldn't drop below 9 or 10 volts I believe.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If it does, time for
New battery

Yeah telltale sine of bad battery. Walmart sells some for 25 bucks. Not the best battery's but they're a whole lot cheaper haha. Goodluck!
