Looking for information on what year this trail boss 250 is
Hello I'm new to the forums, but have been reading them for the last few days. I was just given an older trail boss 250 2x4. Right now I'm trying to figure out what year this thing is so I can order parts... from pictures it looks like its mid to late 80's. I spent yesterday dismantling the whole thing. The only number I was able to find was welded to the frame, 1310832. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what year this maybe, blueline15 can you help? Also, what kind of performance mods can I put on this thing to make it go- and possibly where to find them? Any help would be appreciated.

That is probably the VIN # there. I can't run VIN numbers anymore, but if you call any dealer, they should be able to tell you the VIN from running that.
Depending on the year, will depend on what kind of performance parts there are.
