06 sportsman 450 shuts off

I have a 06 sportsman 450 and it turns on okay.. When I ride it, it runs for a few minutes then shuts off, then has trouble starting again. The 4wd also does not work I'm not sure if it's not working because it has a lack in power and the gauge also does not work. I'm not sure what to do I've charged the battery many times and it still has this problem.

Why have you had the to charge the battery so much? The battery probably needs to be load tested to see it its any good anymore.

It's a brand new battery, it's turning the motor over to start but after a few minutes while riding the quad shuts off and takes a while to start

have dealer check vin # for ecm recall, sounds like bad ecm

I called earlier, he said it was done in 08. The starter works fine and I think it holds charge now... the next problem is the carburetor. Which one inside the carb does the choke pick up because one is stuck all the way down and wont move. It does sound like its going to start but still does not.
