04 engine in an 02?

hey all, i was just wondering if a 2004 700's engine will work in an 02 700? if so, can you just drop it in or will some modding be required to make it work?

It will bolt right in, reuse your 02 stator, flywheel and your good to go. I have done one, takes about 4 hours and you will be up and running.

so, what parts will i be able to use on the 04 from the 02? i havent got a hold of the 04 to see it's exact condition, but for the most part the 02 motor is still fine.

will the 04's carb work perfectly in the 02 machine or will cables need to be modified?
