polaris overheating?? why is it doing this?

Lots of water coming from seap hole under water pump. Why????? The little propeller in pump is working fine. Why would water be pouring from that hole????

Mechanical seal is probably bad.

AKStew did a walkthrough that is very helpful and can help you decide if you want to tackle it yourself or not. I am looking at probably doing it in the spring so i have this link bookmarked for easy reference.
