1998 Sportsman 500 coolant issue

Hello from CO!,

I have a 98 sportsman with the water pump leaking, no big deal ordered the parts to fix. I noticed the right lower side of the radiator leaking which it appears to be leaking from the drain on the lower corner. I checked the pitcock valve which is tight and polaris discontinued making that part. I am wonder does the pitcock valve come out and is there an o-ring that just needs to be replaced??

Also i have a 2010 sportsman does anyone know if you can buy and add the recoil starter for that??

On your 2010, i think you can BUT,they have that control module, that sences if the battery voltage is less than 8 volts, it won't let it start ,thinking that the battery is dead and will cause an overcharge condition and burn up the bulbs and wiring as well.
