More info needed.
Does it crank over? Do you hear a clicking noise when trying to start? Does it idle but dies when let off throttle? Does it do anything?

Wow, that sucks. Not sure how figure out if it is the ecm or not. It does seem to be the ecm because from what I have read here on the forum the symptoms you are experiencing is what happens when it goes bad. I haven't had any issues with mine. Hopefully someone else can step in and help you out with that.

There is a red wire coming from the starter solenoid going to the pod; it supplies power to the ignition. It should have a black seal pouch in it somewhere, with a fuseable link or a fuse in it and it has more than likely blown.
