Exclamation problem with 98 magnum 425 awd switch

my awd switch was working last week as it was lit up, went to use it today and its not lighting up at all and the front tires don't feel like their engaging. not sure how to check if its the switch or a problem with the hubs, im thinking its probably electrical as it was just working and i don't abuse the machine at all. any help is appreciated.

Don't the rear wheels need to be slipping before the front tires engage?

k jacked it up today and yes the front wheels do turn when awd switch is pushed in. Does this mean just the light is blown, is that a common problem? And the front tires don't seem to have a lot of pull thru snow is that normal for on demand awd?

Ok so are the awd switchs known for the lights to stop working in the switch? And do the front tires not spin much when in awd?
