2001 sportsman 500 carb removal ? still not running right
is there a sticky or easy pic explanation on the removal of the carb so i can go over it ..i drained some gas and cleaned/opened the bottom bowl on the carb but the atv still starts, then when u rev. or try to engage it bogs/dies ..unless there is something else i should check first >?

I remove the air box then slide carb back into that hole, put clean paper towels down in hole, remove bowl, remove all jets and float valve, clean jets good with carb cleaner and compressed air, probably small pilot jet thats plugged , has very small holes in it, if gas is old, drain, flush and re-fill tank

Sometime canned carb cleaner does not work. Get a gallon of Gunk Carb soak from advanced auto parts ($30) and soak the carb for a couple of hours. then take the can carb cleaner and compressed air. Of course the carb should be apart.

remove airbox from frame then loosen clamp on the boot from engine to carb and slide carb back where airbox was to work on it, may have to cut a couple tie wraps to get enough slack in throttle and choke cables , I usuall y leaqve them hooked up and clean the carb in the frame, if your gonna soak it you have to unhook cables
