OK thanks to both replies for the help - I will just use the supplied cables.

I have 6 different ATv's. Is there a cheaper way to maintain the batteries or am I stuck at buying 6 seperate tenders ?

Harbor Freight had them on sale for $5.99 a while back. If you bought a couple of them you could rotate from one set of quads to the next every week or so and be in good shape.Sportsmans Guide also has a 2 pak on sale for a bit more money.

I have to add this, I'm a huge battery tender fan, on everything, but have found some issue with it and my 2010 850 xp. About a Year ago I got an error code 520203-4which means active descent control driver circuit grounded, which caused my atv to not go into 4 wheel drive. I took it to the dealer and they said it had to be reflashed. they also indicated that I should not use a battery tender without disconnecting the battery from the atv. Never had that same problem again, other problems but that is another story. So winter comes to my town and I wanted my atv to be ready. So like usual I hooked my battery tender up to the atv, I forgot to disconnect the battery from atv. .it was on about two weeks and today I went riding, was going down a hill in 4 wheel drive and the 4 wheel drive light on the dash disappeared and the check engine light came on. I shut it off, then back on and looked for the trouble code. Once again I got 520203-4. Now it got to take it back to the dealer again, pain in the arse!!! So if the dealer is right, it may be wise to disconnect your battery before connecting it to a charger, which really sucks, and will eventually lead to stripped nut and bolts on battery or broken connectors on cable, wires, etc. please chime in with any comments or other info that you feel would be useful, I'm speaking only from my experience, and would like to know if anyone eske has had this problem. Also I don't use the same tender all the time so I don't think it was that.

The ones at HF were $5.99 if you used one of their coupons. Check the website for downloadable coupons,or look in the flyers they send out. I bought 2 of them for myself and one for my Moms riding lawn mower battery. She was buying a new battery every couple of years. I got 6 yrs out of my mower battery thanks to my tender. Also got 6 yrs out of my Harley battery where I used to only get 2 or 3 yrs before I found out about tenders.

Not cheaper, but a little more efficient.

A 10 Battery Unit.
Amazon Amazon

This one is cheaper, but only does 4 at a time, but cheaper to buy two, and get all the extra attachments.
Amazon Amazon

Oh, that's on sale, and at a great price too $134. Add in no tax, and free shipping for a prime member, and that's nice. If not a member, sign up for the free trial, and cancel. Enjoy free 2 day shipping.

Battery Tender Brand is best

The Battery Tender Brand seems to work the best. Stay away from the Harbor Freight brand.
