Starts hard with electric start

I have a 95 425 Magnum 4X4.
I replaced the battery with the Exide brand that was referenced to the quad and when I try to start this for the first time of any day, it takes forever to start. It just keep cranking and once or twice you can hear it want to start.
It seems like it's turning to slow to fire up, I'll use the pull start and it fires right up and runs fine. If I hook another battery to boost it and then it fires up right off.
Any Ideas?

try cleaning the connections at the ignition switch. maybe even jiggle the switch while cranking,could be the inside of the switch is getting bad.

Ive got a similar problem on my 95 magnum 425 but will not start at all using electric starter even with a boost and cranking fine, but will start with one pull on the rope. Still working on it.

Check the battery wires for corroded ends? Had the same problem, ends look good, but cut the cover back a little and see. Mine were green an inch back. If all look good, try jumping the solenoid, it make be corroded inside.
