Throttle safety switch bypass?

Hello all, I have a 95 trailboss 250 that I got from a guy who'd done away with the oil injection for whatever reason. In the process he cut the cable that goes to the oil injector. Throttle cable still works as far as moving the needle, but starting engine is an issue. I rebuilt the carb and installed a new plug and no start. I'm thinking it may be a problem with the throttle safety switch. Can I simply unplug it to bypass or do I need to do something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance!

I know there's folks here that will fall out when I say this , but I bent the contacts wide open instead of messing with it. No need for it for me. Been that way now for ten years.
