Does anyone know what the correct oil filter is for a 2005 sportsman 700 twin?
I can't find it anywhere.

Hey blue you should post #'s for other models are well. I know a lot of models take the same filters. Maybe get it as a sticky?

Hey blueline, whats the difference between the wix 51356 and the 51357? Wix has the 51357 listed for 700 and 51356 for 800 but i dont see a difference. WIX Filters : Filter Look-Up

also on the kn-198 it says built after 10/8/04 but what about before? Mine was built on 9/7/2004 and i think i would prefer a k&n filter

i dunno what wix's deal is, sometimes aftermarket companies do that. as far as polaris is concerned, (does not include outlaw, predator, or 90cc and under) you have two filters...single cylinder and twin cylinder.

for 300cc and up single cylinders it is OEM# 3084963
for 600cc and up twin cylinders it is OEM# 2540086
for predator 500 and outlaw 500 it is OEM# 3088036
for all outlaw 525 KTM motors it is OEM# 2520754 and OEM# 2520755 (twin oil filtration system, two different oil filters side by side)

that is it. those are all the oil filters i think.

no worries about that, same deal when you look on the polaris dealer microfiche. it gives you a build date with two different oil filters, but they both superseed into the same filter. you dont have to worry about the build date anymore, they all use the same filter
