i have a 2004 scrambler 500 with 4x4 today it was working fine so i went out onto the ice and started spinning the tires really fast all of a sudden it engaged into 4x4 for no reason switch was off. So then i went to engage it into 4x4 and the light came on but no 4x4 cant find out what happened can someone help. PLEASE

Does it have the hub hillards or the central hillard 4 wheel drive? If the fluid is old or low in the hubs it will sometimes lock the rollers in the hillards if tires speeds are excessive . It may have damaged the hillards but check the fluid in the hubs first. The hub hillards are pretty dang tuff though. You might have to remove the hillard and inspect it.
