oil question
Who here uses AMSOIL in their ATV? A guy I work with is an AMSOIL dealer he is telling me this stuff is great in ATVs. I use it in my 4 stroke outboard and its fine. I just wanted the opinions from some of you experienced guys

I havent used it personally but I have read some threads and alot of guys use it and swear by it , its good stuff from what I hear.Just use there 0-40

Or Mobil 0W-40 will work and it's like 1/2 the price!

Is there anything I need to do before using the amsoil? It is a 2003 sportsman 500. It has been run on conventional oil so far.

Amsoil all the way. I will not use anything else

There are only 2 "dealers" within a 50 mile radius of me that sell the stuff. If this stuff is so great, then why isn't it being sold in retailers? I went with the Mobil 1 as an alternative due to the difficulty of finding a suitable replacement for the Polaris oil.
I'm not knocking the stuff btw. I just recently learned of AMSOIL when looking for alternatives to the Polaris branded oil.

If the stuff wasn't so darn expensive I would use it. So, I use good SAE branded synthetic oil instead.
