Rear Inner CV joint

Hi everyone. I have a 2012 Sporty 500 ho. I am trying to find a rear inner CV joint for it. Not looking to replace the whole shaft just the rear inner. My question would be how for back did they use what they are using now? I cant seem to find replacement stuff for the 2012's. Also where would you suggest I can find the best deal? Thanks much.

I feel like i am wasting my time here. I was really hoping someone would be able to help me or have some information that could help me. I don't want to spend $300 for a cv joint, especially from the dealership or high price aftermarket brand names. I just want to be able to get my wheeler fixed and back on the trails and ready to plow snow.

My post currently has 61 views. And no one has any info to help?!

I am not trying to be an ass here. I just cant seem to find anything on the net that says it will work for a 2012 machine. And my dealership wants $255 for just the cv joint.

I looked around a bit and couldn't see one from the companies I usually use for that sort of stuff. There are rear axles out for that application for around $130 (way less than the dealership is asking for just the joint)... but I know you said you didn't want to but the whole axle.

I doubt the 2009/2010 cv joints will work on yours because companies would have those listed on ebay already if they were the same part. The company that I saw the $130 axle for on ebay was atv parts connection so you could give them a shout to see why it's so hard to find that joint right now.

Little impatient are you? You can check the link below, put in the type and year, look up the part and slide to the right click on usage and it will tell you the years that used the same part. You may also want to check the end of the axle if you joint is bad. You can get stock part from a lot of locations for a lot less than $300, hope you find your part.

Impatient, yes, I was being impatient. I apologize to everyone for over reacting. It's my first new machine and I was having trouble finding parts. I was also having people tell me that I wouldn't be able to get aftermarket stuff until, possibly, this coming spring. Thats a long time, in my book, to have a new machine sitting in pieces in the garage.
I have chased a few other leads to find either really expensive parts or none at all.
Thank you for your help!

I have a 12 sportsman 500 ho as well.. Just had to replace both back shafts..your better off to replace the whole shaft for less than 200.00 than to just replacing the inner joint.. Trust me.. It's a pain to get out for one.. I ended up taking it to a local shop and getting both shafts done for less than dealer shaft..look around to some local shops for help...also.. The 12 500 ho is a new bike design so that is going to be a problem using other year parts for your application

I have same problem for my 2012 500, I broke the inner cv joint like it was butter, seems that the best way to go is buy the whole axle from rhino axles for 200 an axle, or do what Im going to do and get a pair from ebay from titan axles for $320 for the pair. They both are way stronger then stock and you shouldnt have the same problem again. Just sell the spare for $$$ on ebay. I was told that Polaris Changed the insides or the CV joints for people who want a lift kit or wheels (Thanks alot Polaris) but the spines and length are the same. So a rhino axle distributor told me that 03+ of their axles would fit.
Hope this Helps Im still doing My Homework
