Unhappy 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4 problems

My 4wd won't engage on my Sportsman 500. I have checked the ground and transmission. Any suggestions?

It won't engage if your speedo isn't working. There is a by-pass for that issue on here somewhere if you don't want to fix the speedo. If the speedo is working, you may have to change and or add fluid to the hubs. Low or dirty fluid won't engage the plates very well.

Agreed. Change out fluid and check if speedo is working properly.

Speedo hasn't worked in years but 4x4 has. Fluids are good. I did find the thread about the bypass and considering trying that. Thanks
