winch/plow problem

I turned the knob as far as it would go, pulled on the orange rope and nothing happened. I guess it doesn't freespool!

if you have that nob there that is the freespool.. what winch do you have..

ok if the rope went back on it self and you spooled it in using your controls,it may be wrapped over it self..If you can get some one to operate the control wile your pulling on the rope it may help..get them to go in and out on the contriol and see if you get it to let go and start to free spool out.

Should it be in free spool mode when doing this?

Sorry bout that...No if the nob is set to free spool the handle bar control will not work the winch...Put the nob back to normal operation (winch NOT free spool) and just try to play with the controls wile you have tension on the rope (pulling out)..

might be your contactor for the winch a little corrosion in it and it will act up mine did this i took it apart and cleaned the contacts and worked better. eventually had to replace the contactor though

i couldn't pull on mine hard enough, by hand, to free it from being jammed but reversing with it in freespool mode worked good,
just needs a good hard yank!!... but be nice to it
