2006 Sportsman 500 EFI (Electrical Problem I Think)

My Sportsman 500 suddenly quit running one night and when you turn the key on nothing happens. No lights come on and you cant hear the fuel pump ingage. You can take out the key switch and hotwire it and it runs fine. So I thought it was a bad key switch. I went out and bought another one and installed it today. Still it will not start it nor does it turn on lights or ingage fuel pump. Everything works fine if it is hotwired. What else could it be?

Try unplugging the speedometer. If its bad it will cause all the problems you are explaining. If everything starts working with it unplugged, order a new one.

You were close. It was a faulty kill switch. I just crossed the wires and bypassed it. Never have used it before anyway. Thanks for everyones replies!
