Valve Adjustment
So, how important is it to have the valves adjusted on a Sportsman? I took my 2003 700 into the shop today to have it looked at (won't go into 4x4 in reverse even if I hold the button). They said I REALLY need to have the valves adjusted.
Speedo doesn't work properly, so I don't know how many hours are on it. The ATV starts just fine, no clicking, just the 4x4 and speedo issue. They want $282 to do the valves (along with changing the fluids).
Is it worth the cash? As a side note, it really doesn't matter how easy this project is, I don't have the mechanical inclination, or the time to do it myself. So if it needs to be done, it will have to be done by the dealer.
