I purchased a 2000 Trailboss 325 about 6 months ago. Originally the fan came on when I turned the key on and I was also having trouble with the battery staying charge. After troubleshooting the electrical I determined the LR-60 Temp Switch was bad. I replaced it and now everything seems normal with the electrical. I haven't had much time to ride the ATV for a long period of time until this weekend. After a full day of the kids riding, the "HOT" light and the fan came on. First of all, is this normal after the engine runs for a long period of time? If so, is it safe to continue to run it? If it's not normal should I check the oil level and/or go ahead and change the oil and filter?
