2007 Polaris Sportsman 800 issues
Alright, I have some issues with my Sportsman and I was hoping you awesome people could help me answer some questions.. The model is a 2007 Polaris Sportsman 800.
1) When I go in reverse, the atv bogs down... Almost like it's not getting enough air. The feeling is that of a car with traction control on snow. The minute it feels the tires slipping, the vehicle will not let you accelerate even if you mat the pedal. That's the kind of feeling it gets. High/Low all works fine without any problem...
2) My front left shock is making a clicking sound. Say, when I ratchet strap it down it makes a click. Same thing if you rock the atv back and forth. Is my shock f'ed??
3) I was out riding on the weekend and my riding crew noticed my right front tire wasn't spinning. Sure enough, I believe the axle is f'ed. I can take my hand and move it back and forth. I am planning on replacing both front axles with Rhino ones. Is it worth it? How hard is it to change axles anyway? I am pretty mechanically inclined so I am hoping I can do this myself.
This thing has 295 kms on it. The guy before me treated in like garbage and I got it for next to nothing. I don't mind putting some money into it to get it running right.
P.S - I know this is a duplicate thread. I posted in the wrong forum by accident! Sorry in advance!
