adjusting shift linkage

Can some one tell me how to adjust the stift linkages on my 94 sportsman. I had to replace the trans out put shaft bearing now I can't seem to get it set up right. I thought I had it but last time I rode it I had to mess with it a bit to get it into high range and after riding in high it took a few trys to get it back in low range. It works fine from low to reverse if I don't use high range. Is this something I should take it to a shop to set up and if so what will it cost to set up the linkages? I am hoping I don't have to take it in I don't have the cash to spend right now.

if both the lil tie rod ends are tight and facing down. put trans. in nuetral and remove the front rod and adjust from there, since you are having trouble getting into high range, you will need to make the rod longer. try to end up with both ends facing down,it has something to with those rods angled too much and binding.
be a good time to take apart your shifter box as well ,and give it a good cleaning. just turn it upside down let it drain and spray some carb. or brake parts cleaner in it. then refill just to the bottom of shifting tubes with your favorite motor oil. happy shifting

Not sure, but this might one of the bikes that you have to mash the foot brake to go into high. Hope this helps

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!! I still have not got this set up right, any one know how to do this? Every time I think I have it set up right (it works in the garage) it messes up when I hit the trails. What is the trick to set this up is it because it is not warmed up when i am setting it up in my garage or what?
