All I can say is weather you come ride the Hatfield-McCoy trails or the outlaw trails that are in this area, you will have a great time. Con

Great riding...do it! One other thing, the trails are marked for difficulty level. Unless you are a very accomplished rider, stay away from the most difficult. Even beginners can ride the easiest though. Have fun!

I have ridden in Utah and in Taylor Park and I do not believe they compare to WV. The scenery outwest is awesome but most of the trails are forest roads. WV offers the most variety. Below is a link to a site where I distribute my Garmin Transparent Map that I have made for WV. It has over 600 miles of the outlaw trails and most of the Hatfield McCoy Trails along with Burning Rock Trail System. It also have around 170 of the most popular trail Waypoints. During the install you will have the option to install several files one of which is the original GPS tracks of the Outlaw trails. The link also has some files that explain how to get MapSource if you do not have it along with how to load the map onto your GPS. It is a self installing .exe that will install everything you need onto your computer. Check back to this site every few weeks as I am constantly updating it as we track more trails. The maps are color coded and the color scheme is explained during the install. These maps work great on Nuvi's with their big screens.

Thanks for all of the info. A local atv/motorcycle dealer in my area has tours that you can sign up for. They include transportation for your quad, bus ride there and back, and lodging. Need to purchase atv permit and food. Sounds like the way to go since I have never been there before.

If and when you decide to come to West Virginia to ride, let me know so maybe we can get together and ride some of the outlaw trails in the area if you want.

Being a business owner in southern WV that offers lodging to the riders of the Hatfield McCoy Trails, I would like to know that name and any contact information that you have to the atv/motorcycle dealer. I would like to talk to him about the possibility of a business deal on our lodging. I would appreciate the info if you don't care to help a small business owner.

By the way, if you ever need lodging, look us up: Browning Fork Trailhouse
