Lodging at Hatfield McCoy?

We are trying to plan our first trip to Hatfield McCoy for a weekend in April. We are coming from Michigan. There may be around 12-16 of us. Can anyone recommend a hotel or lodge? We are mostly couples who would like individual rooms. We would like one with a pub, or within close walking distance to a pub. We will be riding SxS's. Might be a couple of two up quads. We do not want to trailer the machines to the trails. I have read quite a few threads, but can't seem to get good info on lodging of this type. Am I asking for too much?
Thanks in advance, Steve

We have not picked that yet. I guess lodging is our first priority.

We'll keep in mind that rockhouse, devil anse, and buffalo mountain are all connected. Also Indian ridge, Pinnacle Creek, and Pocahontas are all interconnected. So if you don't want to trailer look for suitable lodging around one of those trail systems.

Logding

We have stayed at Ashland Resort several times. It is a great facility with lots of cabin options. Staff is great and the facility is clean and very well maintained. As for any Night life you will struggle to find very many places that are walking distance or even riding distance. Most of these small towns close up early therefore very little to do. I have stayed close to Bramwell and even then little to do after about 7pm. You will find a couple campgrounds that have local bars located on the grounds but my option is they probably will not be very family friendly. Better to make your own fun around a large campfire.

Your first priority has to be the trailhead, if you don't want to trailer from your lodging, to the trailhead you pick . HM trails are very spread out depending on which trails you want to ride. I would first pick your trails and then match that up to available lodging....and it better be fast. HM is busy in the spring and the lodging fills up fast

Check out Browning Fork Trailhouse on the Rockhouse system. Marty has great rentals with separate bedrooms. We have also had requirements much like yours and a lot of lodging seems to be the bunkhouse style. His is indiv. bedrooms and is really clean, well furnished and affordable. We have stayed with him the last four trips. Note: Do what you can to stay longer than a week end!!

I doubt you'll find any pubs, but plenty of bars!
