Upcoming HM trip

Myself and a friend or two are planning trip later this spring to HM trails.

I'm having a hard time deciding which trail system to concentrate on and where to look for lodging.

We all own our own machines and have moderate riding experience in northern WI, Black Hills of SD, etc

Any suggestions that you all can offer will be appreciated

Look further down on this forum topic, there are several HM topics. I would highly recommend staying at Twin Hollow Campground and Cabins and ride the Rockhouse Trail System. My highest recommendation is staying at Ashland Resort, it has camping, hookups, and cabins. Ashland Resort sits on the Indian Ridge system and connects to the Pinnacle Creek System. The "Outlaw" trails lie in between these two systems. The new Pocahontas System will be opening this summer in this area. This is where to come for several days of riding. On the other threads I have posted links to where you can download a Garmin Map for all of WV including the Outlaw trails. Below is a link to our clubs forum, it is a club forum and not a national open forum. 2/3 of it our open to the public including our upcoming rides and ride reports. We mostly ride the HMIR, HMPC, and Outlaw trails. We have permanent trailers at a place called Hilltop. When you come post on our site and will probably have people that would show you around if you are interested. Several of us are riding in WV this weekend.

Thank you so much Bob! I will get ahold of you for sure when we come down. As a side note, I lived in your neck of the woods until June. Lived in South Charlotte.

Do you know anything about the Rockhouse Lodge / Depot Lodge?

Thanks Again!
