clinton lake atv trails

Hey guys, about to buy a new '11 Sportsman 500 and the wife and I are looking for some trails in or around the Kansas City area. We already know about Perry Lake and Clinton Lake, both about and hourish from us. We wanted to know if there were any other areas withint the same(ish) time frame to get to that I couldn't find online. We are also thinking of taking a trip this fall to Colorado with the quads for our anniversarry trip, but that's still 8 months away. But I'm planning now, so if anyone knows good trails out there too, that would be awesome. Something near cabins would be nice!

WE have a place on Truman. We have are own private trails but a lot of people go here. Just over an hour from OP.

Is this inside or outside the cooper creek area? My mother-in-law lives about an hour south of Clinton Lake near Galmy Mo. so we were thinking of riding down there during the day and staying with her at night. Like I said, we're definitely interested in new areas to ride in! Thanks for the reply!

Same place when you said Clinton Lake I thought you meant the one in Kansas not Truman Lake outside of Clinton.

Galmy is only 15 miles outside of our place by iconium... Small world.

Oh wow, well we will have to maybe get together when we make our venture down there. I think this year we'll be doing more riding down there than at Perry lake this year. Since it's about the same distance and Cooper Creek offers more area to ride. We'll let you know so maybe we can meet up sometime! Thanks again!
