I am just curious how you chose Busco. Did you consider WV and Hatfield McCoy? What type ATV's do you guys ride, sport or utility? How many day are you going to be there?

I have not been to Busco in several years and do not plan to go back. It may have changed, I don't know. There was not many trails, a lot of sand. At that time they did not require helmets and several people got hurt and a couple were killed, I think they have started enforcing helmets now. It was very crowded with drag races going on and there was a lot of drinking.

The group that I ride with all go to WV and we live in the Greensboro area of NC.

Hopefully someone with more recent experience will chime in. I did not mean to rain on your parade but that is my opinion. If you are only going to be there 1 or 2 days its OK.

Hey killemkc, Busco Beach is great. I have been riding down there for over a year now. I make the 4hr drive twice a month. We have a big group going 25th threw the 27th. There will be close to 40 of us if not more. Its the seasoner open ride. I agree with BobT on one thing there is quite a bit of drinking but with that said, I have never ran into a issue at Busco, everyone is very friendly and helpful. Helmets are mandatory and you must obey the 5mph speed limit around the main gate and threw the camp area. Other than that its all about a good time. You can ride 24/7 with no limits. You have 1800 acres with more trails than you can cover in a weekend. There is everything, 2 motocross tracks, hill climbs, mud pits, dry trails, wet trails, mud trails. I would suggest unless you are snorkeled do not..and I mean do not underestimate the depth of any of the holes. Some can be just a few inches were others will be over the handlebars. If you want when you get down catch up with us, we will show you around and you'll have a blast watching some of us go in way over are head.

I agree with TRI 250, Busco is great place to ride, they have woods, dirt, mud, and sand. The thing is that you can ride most of trails during the day, then go out after dark and get a whole different experience. We go to Busco alot, it does get fairly crowded on the weekends, but during the week is the best time, because you normally have the park to yourself. Enjoy it and let us know what you think after the ride...

Busco is going to be packed that weekend... We rode there two weeks ago Saturday and had a great time. Hope we keep getting some steady rains to keep the dust down and holes filled.
