Hatfield McCoy Trails Lodging
We are heading there for the first time this Spring and taking the wives along. For those of you who have been we are seeking very nice and clean lodging. Any suggestions?

stayed at the ashland resort cabins on the indian ridge trail system last october.very nice and reasonably priced as well.have bath house and laundry facilities on sight as well as store with fuel, food, souveniers, and basic atv repair supplies.it has access to two trail systems via the indian ridge/pinnacle creek trail connector.rode about 150 miles on a 3-day weekend.

I can't say a thing about the lodging, but I can tell you that there's more than enough trails for you to ride, both the H-M and outlaw trails. Any kind of riding you want to do, you can do in this area. I live just across the hill from Ashland and ride in that area a lot. Right now the H-M trails are expanding closer to my neighborhood with a new trail which is to be ready this spring. So when get ready to come this direction, let me know and maybe we can do some riding.

We will have two new riders with us. What is the level of trails at Ashland? Just wondering should we consider other trails for new riders.

Anywhere from easy to difficult. The H-M trails are marked for this. The outlaw trails are a lot of hard pack, mostly old roads.

the indian ridge and pinnacle creek are the easiest trail systems.they have more mud than the others but the trails farther north get a lot more rocky.if you stay on the green trails they will be fine.you can check out the trails on trailsheaven.com.

We stayed at the Gables in Gilbert. Beautiful, clean home, 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The people who rent it are nice and it's very reasonably priced.
