Central PA Trails (Not State Lands)
Is anybody aware of some nice atv trails near central Pennsylvania or in Pennsylvania in general that are not state lands or land that is patrolled or monitored?

I live around central PA and there is an endless amount of trails. What towns near central PA are looking to go to? Are you just looking for a place to go riding? ST. Clair, PA is more eastern side. Lots of riding there though. Not too far from trevorton PA that also has some awesome riding areas.

Don't forget Snowshoe Trails, only $15 per year & no National Forest officers to hassle you.

SSRT is nice but thats about it. Its not THAT exciting of a ride. Bloody skillet or whiskey springs would be a much better choice. Any specific reason why you dont want state land or patrolled?

I live in eastern Juniata County (Richfield). Within a couple hours of there would be nice. I have been to Treverton and Ramy.
3 reasons why I prefer non-state land: ATV not registered, ATV has loud exhaust, we like to drink a few beers while putting around the woods. (Not that the last one is going to keep me from going anywhere though). Aren't you required to be registered to ride on state lands?

Not to be critical, but sooner or later you're going to get stopped on illegal trails, & the $24 to register your ATV will seem like a real bargain compared to the fine you'd have to pay for riding an unregistered vehicle.

I`m always looking for new people to ride with. I can get to the trails from my house. And I`ve never had a problem. I`ve actually reported people dumping to the land owners and state police and they thanked me!
