Trail Suggestions for CO & UT please.

We leave for our 3 week trip on the 13th. First we are heading to Custer SD where my buddy lives. Will arrive Custer Friday the 15th. We will be wheeling off of his property into the park areas for a few days. From there we will take both our rigs west. First major stop will be Salt Lake City Utah where we will visit the Ricochet plant. We are also going to try visit the Rotopax plant. From there we will be heading south on 15 towards the Paiute trail system for a few days.

After Utah we will be heading to the Denver & Boulder CO area. Any suggestions on nice places to stay with ATV trails in that area? We plan on being in the CO area for 4-5 days. From there its back to SD to drop off my buddies quad then back home to McHenry. Estimated total miles 2800.

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on nice places to see or stay please chime in. We also need to keep the ladies happy and do some sight seeing.

Thanks!

Thor

Go to www.atvquadsquad.com

This is the big forum for the Colorado guys.

Below is a link where you can download a Garmin Map of the Taylor Park Trails.
http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/view/445/

Below are some links to Taylor Park Videos.

Mt. Antero - Unbelievable view but scary if you don't like heights. Goes to 14,000 ft.

Upper Italian - High pucker factor at a few spots

Flag Mtn - Awesome

Devils Punchbowl - Scary and takes you to the "Crystal Mill", supposedly the most photographed site in Colorado

As BobT said, go to atvquadsquad and go to the Rocky Mountain Rockhoppers section of the forum. There is plenty of good riding within 1 hour driving time from Denver or Boulder. The Central City area is very popular with trails to Kingston Peak, St. Marys Glacier, Rollins Pass and the Moffat Tunnel. The women could entertain themselves in the casinos of Central City and Blackhawk. Still some snow in the high country, but shouldn't be too bad by the time you get here. Anything below about 11,000' is pretty much clear. Taylor Park is also a great place to ride. It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Denver. Heading up there myself for the last week of this month. 23rd-29th.
Sounds like a great trip.

Thanks for the info guys. I will take a look at the info as soon as we get our power back. Had a bad storm come though our area today. 70+ mpg winds. What a mess here now!!
