Moving to NC.

Well, my employer has forced my hand, my current position will be absorbed north to Rochester NY and I cant see the sense in moving to a colder climate. So I decided to take a position in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. I'll be moving down this coming Monday/Tuesday and Im interested to see what type of trails people have out that way. If youre in the area and feel like giving a guy a tour of the local trails let me know. Id really appreciate it. I'll be living in the Garner area.

North Carolina -

Well welcome to the GREAT SOUTH. As you can see the eastern part of North Carolina is either sandy or swamp. Since I live in the Charlotte area we usually go to Carolina Adventure World in South Carolina or Hatfield- McCoy Trail in West Virginia. If I have the time the Hatfield is well worth the several hour drive up to West Virginia.
The last time I was at Hatfield we met people from Baltimore, MD and Northern New Jersey.
Good luck on your move!

Welcome to NC, a great place to live. There is not a lot of riding in NC. Busco which is in Goldboro will be near you but it is mostly sand, mud and water. CAW is south of Charlotte, Uwarrie has 33 miles and is very rocky. Most people in NC go to WV to ride the Hatfield McCoy and Outlaw trails. There is over 1000 miles of trails. It is about 5 hours from Garner.

I work for Time Warner, great company to work for, but I cant move North. Uwarrie sounds like my kind of place, and I've been wanting to go to Hatfield & McCoy for years.

Being new to the ATV world I haven't ridden any of the trails here in NC, but I've driven a lifted jeep through uwharrie and it was hella-fun. A lot closer to Raleigh than Hatfield McCoy or Adventure World, and I don't have an exact figure, but I doubt uwharrie has as many trails. Still plenty to keep you busy for a while I live in Greensboro and plan on hitting uwharrie up after deer season is over, hit me up and maybe I can join you
