black hills atv trails

My groups already in the planning stages for next year. We are wanting to come ride SD next year but it looks like some of the riding you will need to be street legal to ride some of the stuff. I live in Texas and these idiots here will not let us get tags for them since our title reads for off road use only. Is there a way around this or maybe even an out of state permit. I don't want to drive 16-17 hours to get there then find out I am going to get a ticket if caught.

If you read this Thor I remember you talking about it at WPG at the rally. Can you tell me what you did to be able to ride everywhere and where you based out of for the trails.

You get the road pass at the court house. A dollar a day. Make sure you have a mirror and horn. The trail pass you get at at the tourist station on top of the hill. $20 for a month. I stayed at my buddies house which was right next to the park. He had his own gate we opened to go into it.

What town did you stay in or close to.

Did the road pass and the trail pass allow you to travel all the roads in the national forest or just the paved roads.

How would you rate the trails?

With both you can go on everything but the interstate! Trails are awesome. Have a great time. We sure did.

Yes. The ranger station is on hwy 16 on top of the hill & the road pass is at the court house next to the police office.

When you got the road pass and the pass from the forest service did you have to show any kind of special paperwork like proof of ownership or insurance.
