NJ riding places info
Frist off I know there are no places to ride in nj with out getting chased by the popo but i'am still interested in hearing the up dated news about nj riding locations from the guys who ride in nj. Also I know no one whats to give here spots up but we need to get as many people out riding in nj to force the state to give as the three riding spots they said they would in 2005 so let us know where you go. Also any updated news you have on nj riding. Thanks

Sorry but I hook up the trailer, gas up the truck, over the bridge I go, to PA to ride.
I personally have not heard anything about the new riding areas, I would guess that when the registrations are to be renewed in Sept. we will hear something, from what I remember they are supposed to increase the registrations fees, and require us to run front and back tags....guess the back wouldnt be enough! when the parks are built the reg. fees are supposed to go back to normal.... we will see. when the time comes I may have to register my atv's in PA. At least then the money will goto what it is intended for!

even for a 2 wheeler dirt bike there's no places to legally ride? I wanna buy one and searched the web about places 1st. i'm in central nj. I only want woods to ride in where other people are around. no crazy track stuff. i used to ride my moped in the woods but it's illegal and plus i don't like being in the woods alone especially without a gun. so there's no place i can pay for the day and ride on some property??

If you have a street legal enduro or dual sport there is places, events, and clubs. But not for the Atvs or motocross. You could ride the roads in the state game lands with a registered, street legal motor cycle. Just not the atvs or motor cross bikes.
The few places that I know of have closed, even at that they where more for the motor cross guys, as I would soon be bored riding on a track thats on a couple of acres.

Gott'a feel bad for you. My wife came from NJ and was shocked and started to laugh when she saw the little signs in the ditches and along the roads. She thought we were a bunch of hicks and could not afford full size stop signs. I told her that the signs were for wheelers and snowmobiles. Minnesota might not have the best of trails but you can go from one end of the state to the other on a wheeler. Knowing NJ, they would have mini-tolls on the wheelers for an added income.

you are right, and that toll money would not go where its supposed to!
they charge you to get out of NJ but to get back its free.
the havent spent a dime of the federal trail money, and its use it or loose it!
Told the wife when we have nothing to keep us here, we may drive over that bridge and never look back.
I love the mountains more than the shore.
I do like salt water fishing but, I have not gone all year and really havent missed it.
besides unless BP gets their stuff together, the oil from the spill will be up here who knows

What do you need the gun for? The Jersey Devil maybe, or the Blair Witch.
If you are old enough to get you license I would buy a dual sport.

Ive always rode on trails and land where it was illegal. Its easier for me than going to PA. Plus more fun getting chased. I recently moved further north in NJ and ride in Vernon, Stockholm, Sparta, etc. there are so many good trails up here i wish they would make it legal to ride. But i dont think we will ever see anything that is really good to ride
