Went riding at the Badlands (of Indiana)

Took my boys and two friends riding to the Badlands off road park. We brought 2 Sportsman 500 one Scrambler 500 and 2 trailblazers. My two friends have never been there before and had a great time. My boys have been there and had a great time as ever. We left home and rain started. It is a 100 mile drive so I crossed my fingers. Less than 10 miles before we got there the skys cleared and sun came out. There was plenty of water on the ground in case you needed to cool down. Trails were awsome! I popped a tire of the rim (again), but I carry a spare front and rear mounted for this reason. MY son was following too close and when I went over a short steep hill he was to close and did not want to hit me so he rolled it. It bent the steering stem the handle bars and broke the master cylinder while knocking the hose out of the master cylinder. I got the fun of trying to drive it back to the trailer to load it.
I use a wood bed car trailer and load from the side. I have 2x4s in the stakes around the edge just for a little help. So I carefully drive up the side. Half way up it turn the key off and it is not going to roll far enough. I tun the key back on a tap the throttle. Up on the trailer over the 2x4 and off the other side. Crap! I ended up leaning way back to keep from going over the handle bars. Second try I put the ramp on the back of the trailer and stood beside it and walked it up. That was the end of my day.
Son has a little road rash and I am sure he will be sore tomorrow. He did not dwell on it and said he would keep riding with no brakes. I said no. Tomorrow is time to straighten or replace steering stem and master cylinder of the parts quad. Glad I bought it. Never had to use my freshly mounted winch.

Took me an hour to straighten my steering stem, shorting the master cylinder where we pulled the threads out and re tap and bleed the brakes. Need to get a hub cap for it. We never found that. It knocked off the top of the shift handle and we were able to find that.

Thanks. My older son, when he was 15 rolled my other 250 Trailblazer on the way to get me a air tank. He went up a steep hill and needed to turn but went straight. 5 guys could not get him out so they had to winch him out with a Jeep. Last year my younger sons friend rolled his Trailblazer with in 100 feet of where my son rolled and broke the top off the steering stem. I think the Badlands is hard on Trailblazers.
