Yeah you really need to book in early spring to get a good place up in this area. Try this place if you haven't already. It's located right on Hwy 8 in Dunbar and is right on the trails.

Otherwise try VRBO or Craigslist in northern WI section.

Oops didn't see your second post. If it's the white house which is the link I sent ya it's a nice place for the money. I've stayed here a few times before and never had any problems, we'll except there's no washer or dryer. Lol. One thing bring a 5 gallon gas tank. The bar next door does sell gas but they are expensive. I bring a 5 gallon fuel jug and fill up at the BP on Hwy 8 and Hwy 141. Plus my Arctic Cat is tuned to run on the ethanol gas and the bar sells non ethanol fuel so my atv runs super rich when I used it.

Thanks for the link, not sure if it is the same, the one I found is the 8-HI which is on Highway 8 and next to a bar or restaurant. Just the wife and I this trip so I don't need a 3 bedroom, but it was what i found. $75 a night so I don't think its too bad. According to the ad it does have a washer and dryer.

Will I need to carry fuel or will there be enough places on the trail to get it? Fuel is always expensive. Last year we went with friends to Iron County for a week. One of the bars where we got fuel didn't mess with the 4.999 per gallon BS, they just listed it a $5. Had to respect the honesty. Nice people too! Opened early just because we were there.
