I'm from Maine! I live in Washington state now. Northern Aroostook County as some of the best riding I have ever done. Old railroad beds! You can pick up the railroad bed in Houlton and you can ride all the way up to Washburn if you want to go for the long haul. It's 104 miles one way. 208 round trip. I did it a few years ago it takes about 9 hours and the scenery is awesome. It was a really fun day. If you don't want to drive as far you can go to Newport and there is a railroad bed that will take you to Dover-Foxcroft. Its about 40 miles one way and there are some mud holes and other play areas of the railroad bed. Hope this helps.
