I recently purchased a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 90 that needs one of the daytime running lamps (worthless lights just for show) replaced on it. Cost to replace is $70. I'd rather not have them at all, they give out the equivalent light of an automotive interior lamp.
I was thinking about removing the lights and installing 2 to 4 of these spotlight/flood lamps
Has anyone had any luck with them? I understand they are each about 5watts, so I should be ok putting 2 of them on the quad. According to Polaris Dealer I have about 30 watts to play with MAX. I wonder if they will be worth it? Think they will allow night driving on the trails? I have room to fit 2 on each side, but I'd rather not trust the 30 watts MAX the dealer quoted me. The less, the better off I may be.
Here is a video example of the lights...unfortunately, there aren't any reviews of the spotlight version of these, only the pattern LED's. But anyway, this is a video showing 10 of these on a light bar. Seem pretty bright
