Koplin hand guards with mirrors hidden bonus!!
All
Bought a new set of the 97300 Koplin hand guards with mirror.
On both of the hand guards, under the sticker of "Koplin" is a surprise.
Pealed the sticker off, and there are four buttons and a round display.
Unscrew the 5 screws, put in 2 AAA batteries and voila. They have a display that gives time, temp in F or C, compass direction N S E W and the degrees plus the second button down is a nice blue light which stays on for 10 seconds for night viewing.
Bought mine on Amazon for 19.99 plus shipping.

I wonder why they would put a sticker over it to hide those features ?.

It's the 97380 that has all those features. Maybe they made a mistake when they packed and shipped those to you.

Here are some pics.
I am thinking that all of the 97300/97380 hand guards have the electronics in them. If you buy the 97380, you get the rubber detents over the four buttons and a clear cover over the display. Reminds me of a '72 Camaro I once owned. Took the driver's door panel off and Voila, there tucked inside was the cable and adjuster for the mirror. Just had to poke a hole in the vinyl and bolt the mirror adjuster in. I only did the left mirror. Thinking that the right display would be upside down. There is the button recessing and display recess under the Koplin sticker on the right hand guard also. These retail up to $60 depending on the site you visit.

Are you satisfied with the mirrors? I am debating which mirrors to buy. I'd like to know your opinion on this set set up.

I would like slightly larger convex mirrors, but for what I paid, and that the Koplins meet the requirements for mirrors on street legal vehicles, I am good with the ones on the guards.
