Backrest
I seached for an answer to this question with no luck. Has anyone put the Lock n Ride backrest on? I'm wondering if it's adjustable and how far does it go forward. I'm looking for some back support. Would it be better just to get the cargo box and put the pad on it?

I have the one that mounts to the Sportsman box. IIRC the stand alone back rest is not very adjustable. Mine is not adjustable at all. It bolts to the box and the box to the rack, one position.
Mine sits at the back of the seat. I am a bigger guy and I can ride on level, even ground and reach controls while pressing against it. BUT, I find its more for resting after riding than for use while riding.

I have a rear box and back rest like the one above, and i find that its very comfortable.

Its a factory Lock-N-Ride box. IIRC all should fit models with factory rear racks back to 1995 .

Another opiton is to go with is our Wes box with lock and ride mounts. The box is not pre drilled so you can place the mounts where they are needed.
