Got rid of the purple camo
I felt it was time to get rid of the nasty purple camo and rather than buy new plastic, I optioned for a paint job.
I used a plastic adhesion promoter and a paint specifically for plastic.
Sure hope it sticks well, I like the way it turned out.

Looks great! As long as you sanded and cleaned it well it should hold fine.

looks good, I just bought 3 cans of plastic primer and 3 cans of plastic black and took off all the plastics tonight for paint tomorrow. I did the sides with adhesion promotor and black and still had scratches after sanding w/ 400 grit. I'm hoping the primer will help in hiding the scratches this time around or i'll have to up my sanding and we all know how much that sucks.

Thanks for the comments, it was a fun project.
Good luck with those scratches redsport500, I filled the real deep ones with a plastic epoxy glue.
I'll be taking it out the end of the month. I'll post pics when I get back.

Is that the Mossy Oak finish. Thats what I have on mine as well. Bought it used, so I dont mind it. B ut its defintly not purple like that.
Looks good flat black. Ill have to keep it in mind

looks pretty sharp, I was thinking of a way to paint my old ride, I would love Blue lol any suggestions on where you guy's got your paint? or are you just using spray paint made for plastic?

The wife seems to think the purple camo looks pretty cool, but me not so cool! That flat finish looks great. Really nice job!
