500 Ho Polaris 2011 Front brush Guard

Yes I have baught a new 500 HO 2011 sportsman and I wanted to know if the brush guard Polaris sells, does it interfere with the lights on the bike? They only make one type for this new bike and was just wondering before purchased it.

Did anyone else have problems attaching their front cargo box, after installing the brush guards?
I had to put spacers below the cargo box mounting tabs, after installing the 2011 Polaris brush guards.

Hey pdot500:

I was having a go at making my own bumpers, so I went to the Polaris dealer to see how the mounts worked. When I made the upper mount, I noticed that the finished edge of my front box dropped a little to the left (looking at it from the front), which really interfered with the mount.

The easy fix would have been to trim that edge, but I made a step in the upper mount to accomodate the imperfection. So I'm guessing that your cargo box has a similar imperfection to mine.

Does the addition of the spacers you used create a noticible gap at the front?

Hey Jeff, when mounted the box has about 3/16-1/4" of space between the mount plate and box. John

So the spacer isn't very obvious. Glad it worked out for you.
