Pure Polaris Handguard Problems

I picked up some handguards the other day from polaris like everyone else seems to get. I tried to install them on the bike tonight, right hand side fit great, but on left the bolts they gave are to big and will not thread through the brake level bracket... They are just a hair to big to fit through.... The bolts in the bike I believe are metric, they take a 5m allen head perfect so that's why i think they are metric but they send standard 1/4x2 1/2" bolts... Anyone else have this problem?

Hey Kool500, that's very strange
As we had discussed before, no problems with the bolts even came in 2 lengths (one to accomodate the winch control). I can't imagine that polaris changed bolt diameters on the 2011 but nothing from this company surprises me

I installed a set of Polaris hand guards this January and the bolts fit fine. The long ones were able to thread all the through the bar clamp. You may have to take a trip to the local hardware store and buy bolts that thread through the clamp.

They either changed the bar clamp bolts or sent bolts to big but that come with, no go

Quality control seems to be slipping at the Polaris warehouse. I bought aux. oil coolers for my hawkeyes and they gave me the wrong bolts for the supplied nyloc nuts. Had to go to local hardware store to pickup the correct ones. I let them know about the problem and inconvenience....
