Thanks for the welcome! I found this forum by searching google for a way to mount these gun grips to my Polaris. I didn't really want to drill any more holes in my lid for my front box to possibly allow leakage. I saw a couple other ideas that were really good too. I wanted something that was kind of adjustable just in case I ran into something that didn't work just right. I have bipods on a couple of my rifles for field hunting and it seemed like at certain distance apart that was going to be a problem. So this way I don't have to worry about it, I can adjust the distance apart they are mounted pretty easily.

I have the same storage rack on the front of my 07 500 x2 deluxe. I bought the Kolpin KXP holders and the hardware that came with them does not mount up to the front rack. Am I going to have to make up something like this or does polaris actually sell something to make this work? I am new to owning a polaris and I love the machine, however, so far I can't stand the front storage system with the lock n ride rails because I do not know how this works. Gentleman, any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi there Dirty Dawg, I just used slotted angle and 3/4 pipe and u bolts bought at the local hardware store. I used the existing torx bolts that go through the bungee strap rails to fasten the angle to and slid the angle underneath the rails. I think I cut the angle at 20" , I used 4 pieces 20" long slotted angle 1 1/2 x 1 1/2. I used 2- 3/4" short nipples that are 12" long. U bolts to fasten to the angle and small 5/16 bolts to fasten the slotted angle together with. Real simple, you might want to measure the distance apart for your pipe. I plan to put some kind of cap on the end of the short nipples later on.

Bowhunter- I appreciate you taking the time to elaborate a bit and explaining exactly what you did to make your mount. This is a great idea and I will be heading to home depot tomorrow. Thanks
