Recommendation on Hand Guards

So can you guys/girls tell me your recommendation on hand guards for a 2011 Sportsman? I see pure polaris makes a set but I havn't seen any installed pictures. I was also wondering if other manufactures make a set of these guards?

Looking at Black or Red Guards?

I bought a set of Polaris units.. promptly returned them.. to my eye they looked like catchers mitts..

Then I bought a set of Power Madd guards. I had some difficulties with the mounting as I had a couple things on the bars and not allot of room there... I mounted them on my wife's Trail Boss.

Then I bought a set of Acerbis ATV guards, man do I like these guards!!! They mount to the ends of the bars, freeing up room for other things on the handlebars.

I appreciate the recommendation of both units. I like how the Acrebis ones flow well with the black low Polaris Window. The only thing are those stickers removable? God I hate Decals with a passion.

The Polaris is a vinyl sticker so I am sure you could get it off. The Acerbis is painted on.. so re-paint it...

I have the Polaris handlebar guards and like them. I suppose it's a matter of taste. I have found that Polaris is pretty competitively priced for their accessories, at least where I live. Easy to install and fit great with no mods. One note, the picture above of an aftermarket handlebar guard has a metal frame whereas the Polaris is plastic. Perhaps if someone got into nastier terrain that would be a consideration.

I think Im going to buy a front fairing instead, since I dont have a windshield or handgaurds now. The fairing comes with a windshield and will shield the handle bars as well, then wont need hand guards

In theory anyway, fairing is about $200, so about $50 more than a windshieuld and hand guards combined
