Taz's 2008 Sportsman 800

My machine came with a winch, plow, hand/thumb warmers, hand guards and a back rest.

Today thanks to the guys on this forum, I did the Work Light mod (with an illuminated switch) and the 3 head light (relay) mod. Later this week, I'll order the LED bulbs to replace the 921's that I have in the work lights right now. I have also added a compass.

Later on, I'll swap out the hand guards for a medium windshield, add two mirrors and a tank bag.

WELCOME!!!

I really like these black machines!!

Yours is no different, it LOOKS GOOD!!

Something else you can do is look for some SILVERSTAR 880 bulbs for the lower lights. They are straight not bent like factorys, but otherwise are same only brighter cleaner light output!

Thanks! My last one was a Yellow 400 - even had yellow hand grips. I loved the yellow! It seems like everyone around here has either a green or camo. When I was shopping for the 800, I really had to look hard to NOT find a green or camo. LOL

Nice looking bike, these black bikes look good! haha

I think you'll be suprised that some af the windshields will fit with the handguards on the machine. I have a Polaris tall and it fits in front of the guards no problem!!

Thanks Racer371! LOL

I know when I had my 400, the Polaris (medium) windshield gave enough protection where I didn't need the handguards. We'll see, it should be here either tomorrow or Monday.

The mid-windshield is now on the machine and gave me enough protection that I took the hand guards off. The tank bag and the mirrors are installed too. I'll get a photo of it after I wash the machine today.
