Question 2010 XP550 Cutting out

Hi guys,

I am new to the ATV scene and I need some help overhere.
I have only had the bike a few weeks and during the day it cut out on me twice.I still had about 8 litres of fuel in the tank. The first time it cut out up a slight hill and when it stalled it strted straight back up again. The second time it didnt cut out completly just lost power and as soon as I backed off the throttle it just went to Idle.
I am hopping someone else has had the same issue and had it fixed.Any help would be great.

probably tighten the battery connections. i know it sounds stupid but they do loosen off and will kill everything for a split second and turns back on. just try it.

And also check your throttle cable , and adjust it if necessary.

Hope it helps

Thanks for the help.I checked all the electrical connections at the fuel pump and the battery and looked ok.I checked the adjustment on the throttle cable and noticed I had a gap of about 12mm not the 2-3mm recomended in the repair manual.
I hope this fixes the problem. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Holy Cow...12mm? This may not be the problem, but it sure isn't helping.

How did it run with that much throttle play?
