you are right, the wheelbase IS longer.
although im sure its possible to rig out a system that will use the touring seat, it will most definitely be ALLOT higher and less flush.
Although, buying a touring rear rack, cutting the plastics in the rear fenders would bring it down maybe 2-3"
it will still be about 4" taller than the regular touring seat.
plus you will need to buy footpegs on a rail system (like THOR sells).
possible? yes.
but it will be ALLOT of work, and probably be near 1000 $ in parts and labor. (not to mention you will have to design a design!)
is it worth it? most definitely not, unless you have regulations stating against the use of a rear cargo/passenger box like the WES industries box (also available at THOR's site (theatvsuperstore.com).
