New front basket

My dad is a chronic pack rat and is finally to the point in his life where he's getting rid of some of the stuff that he's stored for years with the hope of "doing something with it". I was at his house a couple of weeks ago helping him go through some stuff and he had a few wire shelving units made from 1/4" steel rod that he asked if I wanted. At first, I declined, then noticed that these would be about the size of the racks on my Magnum 325, so I carried them home with me to experiment.

I ended up cutting off the two brackets on the bottom of the basket that allowed it to snap onto the steel uprights of the original shelving units. Then I used a product called Klean-Strip Easy Liquid Sander / Deglosser to wipe the whole thing down, including all of the joints where the rods are welded together and finished up with two coats of Krylon Satin Black. It turned out very nice and is going to be a great addition to my hunting rig. I'll be putting a drop basket on the back as soon as it arrives and I think I'll be done working on this machine for awhile (hopefully)...
